The best way to create Windows 11 USB installer?
The most common 24H2 installation error is "No drives found" or "A media driver your computer needs is missing". This happens because the Windows installer lacks the storage driver for your specific hardware (usually Intel RST/VMD or AMD RAID).
The Fix: You need to load the driver manually if you are going to create Windows 11 USB installer USB drive.
1. Before starting, download the Intel RST (Rapid Storage Technology) or F6 driver from your PC or motherboard manufacturer's support page (search for "Intel RST driver" or "VMD driver") .
2. Extract the driver files to a separate folder on the same USB drive (not inside the main installer files).
3. Boot from your Windows 11 USB and begin the installation.
4. When you reach the "How to create Windows 11 usb installer USB drive?" screen and see no drives, click Load driver.
5. Click Browse and navigate to the folder where you saved the extracted driver files.
6. Select the appropriate driver and click Next.
7. After the driver loads, your drives should appear.
Alternative BIOS fix: If your motherboard supports it, go into your BIOS/UEFI settings and change the SATA mode from RAID/Optane to AHCI. This often eliminates the need for driver injection entirely.
