Here is the step-by-step process to manually clean up after an app uninstall, turning your own actions into a powerful revo uninstaller alternative. After you have uninstalled an app normally (via Settings > Apps > Installed apps), you need to check the four most common "hiding spots" where apps dump their leftover clutter.

Delete leftover program folders:

  1. Open File Explorer and go to C: \Program Files and C:\Program Files (x86)
  2. Look for folders belonging to uninstalled apps and delete them
  3. Also check C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Local and C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Roaming

 

Delete temporary files:

  1. Press Windows + R, type %temp%, and press Enter
  2. Select all files and delete them (skip any that are in use)

 

Use Disk Cleanup:

  1. Type Disk Cleanup in the Start menu and run it
  2. Select your C: drive
  3. Check Temporary files and other categories
  4. Click OK to delete
