taskbar autohide failing

With this week's Windows 11 update, autohide of the taskbar fails.

To get the taskbar to hide, I have to open the Start menu, then click elsewhere on the screen. But as soon as the mouse brings the taskbar back, it will not disappear on its own (mouse moved away from taskbar).
