Task Manager doesn't show my dGPU temperature

I'm running Windows build 26100.6584 Home with an i7 13700K UHD 770 and Arc A770LE graphics devices. Drivers 7076 and 8132 respectively, installed fresh after DDUing previous drivers.

When I open the Windows Task Manager, the Arc dGPU's temperature is not shown on the performance details page at all. The sidebar only shows the temperature if I set the Task Manager to not open on the performance tab.

In the past year, there were short periods where the details page did show the temperature, but only if the Arc dGPU was assigned as #1, not #0.

Does anyone else experience this issue? Is this a bug with the Task Manager or with the Arc drivers?

Note that I posted the issue on the https://github.com/IGCIT/Intel-GPU-Community-Issue-Tracker-IGCIT/issues/1237#issuecomment-3330315844 and they suggested the forums.

Thank you.

Press Win + G to open Game Bar

    Go to Performance widget

Often shows more detailed GPU info including temperature

Other tools work. I have an issue with Task Manager. Half of it is a bug with Task Manager for sure. The other half might be an Intel Driver issue. They are looking into it.

Windows Task Manager relies on WMI and hardware sensors exposed by the GPU driver. Not all GPUs or driver configurations expose temperature data to Task Manager, especially if the driver doesn't implement the required interfaces or if Windows hasn't recognized the sensors properly.

The lack of temperature display on the performance sidebar is most likely a bug with Task Manager. When Task Manager is configured to open with the performance tab, there is no GPU temperature on the sidebar. Confirmed on two separate systems with NVidia Graphics cards and latest driver 581.29.

You can verify this yourself by changing to the settings below andd reopening Task Manager.
