Task Bar Issues w/Clicking
Hi all, for months now I've been having an issue with my task bar that pops up every so often. I hope I explain this clearly enough.
If I hover over an application like Spotify in the task bar, I can click the play/pause button on the small picture that pops up but 50% of the time nothing happens. Sometimes when I click on the picture (not a button on the picture) the app won't pop up so I have to minimize whatever app is in front to get to it. Just this morning I had three Word documents open, I hovered over the icon in the taskbar and selected one of the documents, and...nothing...the picture goes away and I'm staring at whatever app I was currently using.
It comes and goes, like right now the functionality is working when 30min ago it wasn't. I just hovered over Spotify and was able to click the pause button. I was also able to select a Word doc from the three that appeared. Has anyone else seen this? It's annoying when you want to quickly pull up an app and instead you're clicking with no action, and have to minimize other apps or ALT-Tab to get to the app you want.
Thanks.

Hello tron1900x
Seems that you’re dealing with some taskbar glitches, possibly related to Windows 11. A few things to try are restarting Windows Explorer through Task Manager, which can sometimes fix UI issues. You can also check for any pending system updates or driver updates, especially for your graphics and display drivers. Another option that comes to my mind is to reset the taskbar settings or clear its cache.
Lastly, if the problem continues, you might try running the sfc (System File Checker) tool to ensure there are no corrupted system files affecting taskbar behavior.
I hope it helps!
