Right-click context menu takes 3–5 seconds to appear
On my Windows 11 PC, right-clicking anything—desktop, files, folders—takes 3 to 5 seconds before the context menu shows up. Sometimes it flashes and disappears, then comes back. It started a few weeks ago and has gotten worse since.
I've already tried restarting Explorer, clearing the icon cache, and disabling third-party shell extensions. Nothing helped. It's a clean install with no unusual software. Anyone know what else could be causing this?

Because the delay happens on the desktop, files, and folders, this is more likely a Windows shell or background-software conflict than a problem with one folder. First restart Windows Explorer from Task Manager and test again. Next install pending Windows updates and the current graphics, chipset, and storage drivers from the PC manufacturer. Run the built-in system repair checks from an elevated Command Prompt: first DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth, then sfc /scannow, and restart when both complete. If the delay remains, perform a clean boot and test the context menu before re-enabling startup items and non-Microsoft services in small groups. A clean boot starts Windows with essential drivers and startup programs, so a normal menu there identifies a conflicting background component.
