Resetting Windows 11 password...Have PIN login

I have an administrator account that I temporarily forgot the password to. I had the PIN that I used to log into the account, but was unable to reset the password (local password).

 

I later found my offline documentation of the password, but the password is locked and cannot be reset, even though I have PIN access to the account. I tried using user management from the admin account, though I did not run as admin.

 

Do I have options to reset the password?

Can I use my Admin account to create another Admin account, then delete the initial one?

Do I have to reset the computer?

    1. Yes. There are many password reset tools for Windows 11.
    2. No. You can login another admin account and reset the password. Deleting account is not allowed.
    3. Factory reset is the last option if you could not reset the password.
