Request to Extend Windows 10 Support Beyond October 14, 2025

Hello Microsoft Team,

I’m writing as a loyal Windows user to share my concern about the upcoming end of support for Windows 10 scheduled for October 14, 2025.

Many users, including myself, rely on Windows 10 daily for work, education, and personal use. Not all of us are in a position to upgrade our hardware or switch to a new operating system without facing financial or technical challenges. Windows 10 is stable, familiar, and perfectly suits the needs of millions of people worldwide.

I respectfully ask that Microsoft consider extending support for Windows 10 or providing more affordable and accessible options for users who cannot upgrade easily. Even an extended security update program for personal users (not just businesses) would make a big difference.

Thank you for your time and for listening to the voices of your user community.

Sincerely,

Omar, Yahiya.

Hey Omar, Microsoft has said the ESU's last day was October 14, 2025. That was yesterday and most likely, it is the end of the road for Windows 10. Microsoft wants users still on Windows 10 to upgrade to Windows 11.

Like you and many other loyal Windows users like myself, I have found Windows 10 to be beloved even when I disliked it at first.

I am certain the ESU is extended to around 2032 for Professional and Education.

The Personal ESU is not coming back since Mainstream ended in October 2017.

      Hello,

Thank you very much for your prompt and helpful response. I really appreciate you sharing the information about the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program for Windows 10.

It’s good to know that security updates will continue to be available through October 14, 2026. However, I’d like to clarify a couple of points:

      1. Will the ESU program automatically apply to all eligible personal devices, or is there a formal enrollment/activation process required?

      2. After the ESU period ends in 2026, are there any plans to offer additional extensions or other affordable options for users who may still rely on Windows 10?

Many individuals, including myself, depend heavily on Windows 10 but face financial or technical limitations in upgrading. Having clarity on long-term support options would be extremely valuable in planning ahead.

Thank you again for your assistance and for considering feedback from loyal Windows users.

      Best regards,

      Omar Yahiya
