I have Microsoft 365 and the OneDrive is included in it. Except I don't link my computer to it to automatically back everything up to the cloud. I turned that off. I'm still getting that annoying reminder. I'm also not logged in. Ever since I got Windows 11 it's been wanting to link everything to OneDrive.

- sdanmtNov 20, 2023Copper ContributorYes, I recently got a new computer with Windows 11, and the unwanted and hard-to-remove OneDrive integration (infestation?) has been extremely annoying. It hurts the user experience, and betrays trust -- it was uploading my documents and pictures in the beginning without my even giving it permission to do so!
This hard-sell by Microsoft is only tempting me to remove OneDrive altogether, since there are alternatives that are not nearly so parasitic-feeling, intrusive, and against the clear will of the user who time and again has to tell it to stop. Even removing it does not always fix all problems -- for instance if it has moved user folders (terrible design).
This feels like malware. What part of "No" does OneDrive not understand? No means no. Bothering users to the hilt is going not win you more sales.- aewtxNov 20, 2023Copper ContributorAMEN
