Reformat PC?

Hello!

I have a question. I have windows 11 cd that I bought and usually when I reformat my pc by inserting the cd and there will be a page showing all my hard drive and solid state drive and I reformat them one by one and they will be unallocated. This time when I inserted the Windows 11 cd got the blue screen saying need the key Bitlocker and after few restarts I got the option to install the windows but the page showed all my hard drives and solid state were automatically reformatted.  Is that something normal? Because I never seen it before which they are automatically reformatted thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I reformatted my pc again and I was asked to put the Bitlocker key which I found it and again samething happened. All my hard drives were automatically reformatted.  I did play Battlefield 6 and it requires to enable TPM 2.0 and I don't know if the Windowss 11 sees that a security thread and after second reformat I also update the bios firmware thanks.

The short answer is: No, this is not the "normal" behavior of a standard, clean Windows installation that you initiate yourself. What you experienced is a strong indicator that your drives were encrypted with BitLocker, and the process you went through triggered a recovery scenario that wiped them.

Thanks for the reply. Again I reformatted my pc and I was asked again for the bitlocker I did find my key and again same thing happened. All my hard drives were automatically reformatted and I believe this happened due when I played the beta of Battlefield 6 were the game is asking to enable the TPM 2.0 and Windows things something strange happened in the security and also I updated the bios firmware.
