Windows 11 taskbar labels

It looks like the perfect way - but it doesn't work here. I set the value to 2 and after restart and then checking it was set to 2 - but still no labels. Do you have any ideas? aBuntobox

You mean a persistent device? As in the monitor is assumed to be coming back.
I find the same stupid thing happens on my main computer which has 4 monitors and 1 TV. The TV behaves differently, it doesn't come out of standby like the monitors do when I come back to my computer, I have to turn it on manually. This makes windows think I have one less screen, and moves every single application I had running to suit!For my problem (unattended headless PCs), most work ok, for the odd one that gets annoyed at having no monitor, I bought some dummy monitors (an HDMI plug with nothing connected to it, and a chip inside which emulates a 4K screen). They only cost £5 on Ebay.
