RAM usage is too high on my computer. why this happened?
When I play Minecraft with a few mods I use 5gb ram on max.
In Task manager it says I'm using 7gb ram but also it says I use 50% of my ram all-time. I have 32 GB btw. I don't get why my ram is always so much in use. Could somebody explain this to me?
Dudes. Dudettes. Microsoft literally added the icon hours later. It's here.
Bravo, Microsoft.

Memory is in use because you're running software that uses memory. What did you expect?

Close any applications or browser tabs you're not actively using.
Disable startup programs that you don't need:
Open Task Manager > Startup tab > Disable unnecessary programs.

Windows uses RAM dynamically, so even if you’re not actively using certain apps, they can still occupy memory for quick access. The 50% usage you're seeing likely includes background processes, system services, and cached data. Minecraft with mods also adds to RAM consumption, so it's not unusual for it to spike during heavy use. If you’re concerned, you can check Task Manager for any unnecessary background processes consuming RAM or use RAM Optimizer tools to manage it better.
