If chkdsk isn't performing as expected, it's often because Windows is skipping it or it runs too quickly without performing repairs. Running it explicitly from an elevated command prompt and ensuring no fast startup are enabled usually helps.

I did use the "Run as Administrator" at the cmd prompt, otherwise it won't let me proceed with the command.
The chkdsk worked when I was using Windows 10 but not after I upgraded to 11. I haven't changed any settings.
