Possible to change the email address of associated license key?

Is there a way to change the email linked to my Windows license? I’ve blurred it for privacy, but it’s the one that appears here.

  • Once signed in, navigate to the "Your Info" section.
Under "Account aliases", you can add a new email address as an alias. This new email can then receive emails related to your account.

That happens if you sign in to a Microsoft account in OOBE. You can change the registered owner.
  • You need to first switch to local account.
    Restart the system then.
After restart, switch back to Microsoft account (important: use the email ID you want to link with your license).

What is the turn around time for getting a reply from Microsoft Support team? I waited two days and still not receiving a single reply!

1.Visit the Support Page: Go to the website of the software or service where you have the license. Look for a support or help section.

2.Account Management: If you have an account, log in to your user account. Many services allow you to manage your profile directly from your account settings.

3.Contact Support: If you cannot find an option to change your email address in your account settings, you may need to contact customer support. Provide them with the necessary details, such as your current email, the new email you want to use, and the license key.

Keep in mind that you may need to verify your identity or provide additional information to complete the change.

Once you add the new email as an alias, you can set it as your primary alias, which will effectively change the email associated with your Microsoft account.

If you're using a Local account, your Windows license is not tied to an email, so there's no email to change. You might consider switching your local account to a Microsoft account if you prefer that route, but again, that will involve choosing a Microsoft email.
