Old MS developer account - account type change

I need human help (Microsoft support) with my developer account - account type change.

Unfortunately – after over 4 hours of trying to setup & get help – it seems that all possible paths lead to an AI support assistant that provides misleading information via non-existent links, non-existent pages (404s), and a workaround that can never be completed.

During this process, I managed to add/fix a few minor missing/incorrect details, but even after that, it still doesn't work. Ironically, MS's online service knows the account isn't working properly, and it redirects me to technical support with a few magical case IDs. So, the problem of not being able to contact MS support should be resolved by... contacting support.

I understand you don't want to support every minor issue, but for goodness sake, I have a paid account, and please, someone help me. Let this Groundhog Day finally end.

Two messages which ask me to contact (original spelling and identifiers, yes there is no space in "supportwith"):

  • Account type change for payee involves additional manual steps. Contact Payee DRI for support. correlation id : e1ba1d28-b630-48e5-bfe9-127128bade7b

Since your issue involves changing the account type of an old Microsoft Developer account and the system keeps redirecting you to support that isn't easily reachable.
