New computer doesn't copy snipping tool image to clipboard
Hi, I have a brand new computer, Windows 11, Word 2024 Home Version. This new computer will not copy Snipping Tool images to the Office Clipboard. Instead the images are automatically saved to the Screenshots Folder. Ctrl + C also does not copy the image to the Clipboard. To get the image pasted in Word, after I snip the image I must immediately go the the Word doc, and Ctrl + V. If I add a second image before pasting the first, only the second one is available to paste. I have no idea what setting needs to change. Any help greatly appreciated. I use the Snipping Tool very often, so this one-at-a-time pasting is quite inconvenient. Please, please, please help. Thanks so much!!!

If you turn off "Automatically save original screenshots" in the snipping tool settings it will save the snip to the clipboard.

When the screenshot is done, click the icon at the bottom right corner. Then the screenshot image will be present. You can now save the image and insert it to word.

Hi, thanks so much, but when I use the Snipping Tool, the only icon in the bottom right corner is Touch Writing. I tried to find the path to the Office Clipboard so that I can change in the Snipping Tool settings where the clips are saved to. Google says that path is "C:\Users[username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Clipboard", but when I enter that path in my computer search, it says "No results". However, if I drop the word Clipboard from the path, and search for just "C:\Users[username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft", it takes me to the Microsoft folder. But I'm unable to find the Office Clipboard there. Do you have any idea where the Clipboard folder is? Or is there some other solution?
