My game capture device is only showing my desktop background on OBS.

I’m on Windows 11. My game capture device is only showing my desktop background on OBS. Is anyone else having this problem. If so please someone tell me how to fix this. I’ve tried everything & I’m missing some options in settings. My displays looks like this. Any help appreciated.

Based on your description and the screenshot reference, the most likely culprit is a GPU conflict—a very common problem on Windows 11 laptops with two graphics cards. Let's fix that first.

On laptops (or desktops with integrated and dedicated graphics), OBS often defaults to the wrong graphics processor, which can cause a black screen. You need to manually force Windows to let OBS use the dedicated GPU.

Think of it this way: Your capture device appears to Windows as an extra, empty monitor. Your game is running on your main laptop screen. The capture card is only broadcasting what's on that "empty" monitor, which is why you only see your wallpaper.
