Missing Virtual Machine Platform Feature in Windows 11 Version 24H2 (Build 26100.4061)
I have installed Windows 11 Version 24H2, OS Build 26100.4061. I noticed that the Virtual Machine Platform (VMP) feature is missing from the Features On Demand packages, and I cannot enable it using DISM or PowerShell commands. I’ve verified that this feature is present in other versions, but it seems to be missing in this particular build.
This impacts my ability to use virtualization-dependent features and tools like WSL2 or Hyper-V effectively. Please look into adding or restoring this feature in this Windows version or provide guidance on how to enable it if it exists but is hidden.
Thank you!

I have Windows 11 Enterprise build 26100 on ARM64-based Lenovo ThinkPad T14S Gen6 laptop, and I get Error 1168 when I try to enable VMP with dism. I also get a vague error "Not all of the features were successfully changed" from "Turn Windows features on or off".
Surprisingly, a colleague of mine who has an identical configuration (System Model, BIOS and OS Versions) had no problems installing WSL2 (downloaded from Microsoft Store).

It appears that in this particular build, the Virtual Machine Platform feature isn't available through normal methods (DISM, PowerShell, Settings).

If the initial installation didn't complete correctly, that could explain why VMP is missing. Look for any error messages during the installation process. Review Windows Update logs for any clues.

I can confirm this issue. Trying to install VMP leads to Error 1168, indicating the feature cannot be found. This is very much needed and I hope it returns to W11. I am on an LTSC build.

The missing VMP feature in this specific build may be due to a build limitation or incomplete package.
