Microsoft Office 2016 download: 64-bit offline installer for Windows 11/10?

Does Microsoft still provide an official direct download link for Office 2016, or has it been phased out in favor of newer versions? Now, I'm trying to get hold of the full 64-bit offline installer ...

About the office 2016 free download, if you are unable to use the official portal but still have a valid product key, you can sometimes find direct download links from Microsoft's official content delivery network (CDN). This is a more technical method.

Direct URLs: The Office 2016 retail installers are hosted on officecdn, microsoft.com. The file names typically end in Retail, img, such as ProPlusRetail, img for Office 2016 Professional Plus. For example, a forum points to 

https://officecdn.microsoft.com/.../ProPlusRetail.img.

Build URL:

  • For Office 2016 Professional Plus 64-bit, the file is typically ProPlusRetail, img.
  • For Office 2016 Home & Business 64-bit, the file is HomeBusinessRetail, img.
