Microsoft Adaptive Controller not connecting to Win11 PC

Hi everyone, I wondered if anybody here has ever had any problems installing their Microsoft’s Adaptive Controller.

I’ve bought one to use on my windows 11 PC but I cant get it working:

- connecting it via a mobo port recognises it but its shown as controller in device manager instead of adaptive controller

- it doesn’t install any drivers automatically. In devices in settings it just says drivers unavailable

- The Xbox icon on the controller flashes on and off constantly

- Attempting to connect it via Bluetooth doesn’t work either - the device simply isn’t recognised/doesn’t show up

- I’ve got a windows 11 laptop and plugging it into there it works immediately

- I’ve tried searching for drivers automatically - but nothing is found

- I’ve tried looking for .cabs on the ms catalogue but nothing is recognised during driver install

- I’ve tried using default hardware drivers such as XBOX ACCESSORIES but nothing is recognised

- I’ve tried copying the drivers from windows 11 laptop > windows 10 pc and whilst it recognises it as the adaptive controller it still won’t work.
It says it’s installed the drivers but an error that: the third party INF does not contain digital signature information

- I’ve checked windows updates/additional updates and there’s nothing there to install

- Current win 11 build is MS version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.7291) windows 10 pro

- I’ve tried uninstalling the controller, rebooting and starting again but nothing seems to be working
