For a beginner on Windows 11, I would start with a small Clipchamp project and judge it against your actual workflow: trim a phone video, add a title, add background audio, export, and upload the result privately to check quality. That gives you a real answer without installing several editors. Avoid any editor that requires a browser extension, bundles unrelated apps, or hides export limits until the final step. If your needs are only trimming and social clips, Clipchamp is enough to learn the basics. If you later need multicam editing, detailed color work or codec-level control, that is the point where Windows' built-in options stop being the right benchmark.
