Laptop Upgrade - Defiance II to Recoil Series 16"
Hi, the chassis of my 4 year old Defiance II has started to crumble (Laptop Lid has snapped away from the hinge). Whilst the laptop and components are still in full working order I'm forced to upgrade.
I haven't been best impressed with the Defiance (Clevo) enclosure, but the performance of the laptop has served (and is still serving) its purpose.
I've spec'd the below Recoil Series 16" laptop. My use case is running multiple nested virtual workloads in a type 2 hypervisor. I think for the price this spec is unbeatable, as branded competitor laptops of a similar spec are far more expensive. However my concern is that of TongFang chassis. Is this a reliable enclosure?
Also is it really neccessary to purchase the Liquid Cooling option? My use case does not involve gaming, hence I've gone for the 5070TI GPU card.
Also, I have my own OS installation media

The material quality and hinge strength can vary based on the specific model and batch, and some users have experienced chassis cracking or hinge failures over time, especially if subjected to heavy use or physical stress.
