Keyboard randomly disconnects when loaded into a video game?

i'm not sure if this is the right place to ask about tech issues with windows, if not could someone point me to a place where it would be more appropriate for me?

i'm having an issue where my keyboard randomly disconnects and reconnects whenever i load into a video game (not in the menu screen before the actual game, but only when I'm loaded into a game world. Also whenever my keyboard disconnects, media often pauses on my pc. Weather its a youtube video, spotify, a video file playing, it'll usually pause. For clarification, it doesn't play the music, it's not toggling the video, its literally just pausing it.

I've replaced the keyboard and tried multiple usb ports. I did a full reset on my pc, including reinstalling windows 11 and updated whatever drivers I could think of.

The only issue I can think that might be related is a week of regular crashes, with the event viewer giving error code 41, which is usually caused by a faulty psu. I've had the pc for five years so its about the time I would expect the psu to start having issues. The crashes randomly stopped, so I never got around to replaced the psu as i probably should do. Could a faulty psu cause the keyboard to disconnect a reconnect? Other than that I still have no idea what else i could do to fix the problem. I was hoping someone could help me out with some advice on what I could do to fix it?
