Keyboard dose not exist in device manager.

We've had 3 different devices, on 3 different days, where the keyboard just randomly stops working. Doesn't matter if it's USB, USB-C, a wireless dongle, or Bluetooth - none of them get detected anymore.

All these machines are on Windows 11 Enterprise 23H2.

When I check Device Manager there's no Keyboards section at all anymore, like it just disappears. Under Human Interface Devices I can see stuff like USB\VID_17EF&PID_608C but nothing under keyboards. I tried deleting those devices and rebooting so Windows reinstalls them but it doesn't help, same thing happens again.

We noticed a few updates went out around the time this started (KB2565063, KB5101004, KB5041655, KB5099414) so we uninstalled them just in case, but the problem is still there even without the patches.

Also had our security team check things out with Cortex and CrowdStrike thinking maybe something weird was going on, but they didn't find anything suspicious.

Honestly at this point we're stuck. We could just re-image the machines but that feels like a band-aid since we don't actually know what's causing it, and if we don't figure it out it could just happen again on other computers.

If anyone's run into something like this or has any ideas what to check next, would really appreciate the help. Thanks!
