Issues with KB5046740 update

I have Windows 11 and Linux installed on my PC. This update breaks Windows Hello without secure boot.

Before the update,  there is no problem to reset Windows hello and use it normally, now I can only use PIN for login.

  • You can check for New Updates:

If you are familiar with Local Group Policy Editor (available in some editions of Windows), check to ensure no policies are disabling Windows Hello.

    1. Open Run (Windows + R), type gpedit.msc, and hit Enter.
    2. Navigate to:
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Hello for Business.
