ISP outages? How to fix?
My internet connection keeps dropping out multiple times a day, and I'm trying to figure out if this is a widespread ISP outage or something on my end that I can fix. Can anyone recommend a reliable way to check for local service disruptions, or share troubleshooting steps I can try while I wait for my provider to respond?

You can try these steps:
- Restart your modem and router.
- Check if other devices on the same network are also losing connection.
- Test your connection using both Wi-Fi and Ethernet (if available).
- Check your ISP's website or outage page to see if there is a reported service interruption.
- If there are no reported outages, contact your ISP and report the issue.
If the problem only affects one device, the issue may be with that device rather than your internet service.

You can also check their social media profiles for outage updates.

This is the classic first step. Unplug both your modem and router from power, wait for about 60 seconds, and then plug them back in. This clears temporary glitches and refreshes the connection to your ISP.
