Is UUP dump a legitimate tool for Windows ISO download?
For downloading a standard Windows 10 or Windows 11 ISO, I can see why you'd consider ISO Mate easier than UUP dump. ISO Mate is designed as a desktop GUI where you select the Windows version, edition, language, and architecture, then download the ISO; its documentation says the files are obtained from Microsoft servers and include checksum verification.
UUP dump is more flexible, but also more complicated. It downloads UUP packages from Windows Update servers and then uses scripts to assemble them into an ISO. That makes it especially useful when you need a specific Windows build, Insider build, or architecture, but there are more steps involved.
So a fair comparison would be: ISO Mate is better for simplicity and direct ISO downloading, while UUP dump is better for advanced users who need unusual or very specific Windows builds.
