Is there any way to remove shortcut's arrow?
Guys I'm trying to make my Desktop as clean as possible without installing any application. So is there any way to achieve that? Thanks. I'm using Windows 11 24H2.
Jan 1 2026 - Win 11 Pro - Build 24H2 - News! - All these posted solutions (both here and in YouTube) ceased to work with the latest patches applied for Build 24H2. Regedit solution no longer works after the patch was applied. I do not understand why Microsoft wants to dirty up the desktop with shortcut arrows overlaid on icons ... esp. when everyone understands these are shortcuts in the first place. Anyone deriving a working solution please post it here. BTW ... 3rd party software solutions (latest version) also can no longer remove these annoying shortcut arrows. Apply the latest MS patch for Build 24H2 and see for yourself.
