Is there a free tool to convert WebM to MP4?
I am new to Windows 11.
Recently downloaded a few WEBM videos that I need to share with someone, but their device doesn't support WEBM files. I’m using a Windows 11 PC and would like to convert these WEBM files to MP4 format for better compatibility.
I’ve done some basic research and found a few tools and online converters, but I’m concerned about quality loss and safety with online tools. I prefer a free solution that can convert webm to mp4 in batch at once and keeps the original quality intact. Does Windows 11 have any built-in tools for this purpose?
Any2VID - I haven't used it particularly for WEBM files, but I've converted .MKV files to .MP4
Also my understanding is that it should be able to convert almost anything, so maybe give this a shot.

Windows 11 does not come with a dedicated built-in video converter. However, it includes the Clipchamp app, which is a video editor and can handle some video conversion tasks. While Clipchamp is primarily designed for editing, it allows exporting videos in MP4 format, which can serve as a basic conversion tool for certain scenarios.
Using Clipchamp to Convert WEBM to MP4:
- Open Clipchamp from the Start Menu. (If not installed, download it from the Microsoft Store for free.)
- Import the WEBM file into a new project by clicking the Import Media button.
- Drag the file into the timeline.
- Go to the Export button at the top-right corner and choose the desired resolution (e.g., 1080p or 720p). The exported file will be in MP4 format.
For more advanced or bulk conversion features, you need use the third-party webm to mp4 converter instead.
