I want to install and setup windows 11 with a local account for 25H2
For setting up Windows 11 Pro, Enterprise, or Education, you’re not required to use a Microsoft account. You can easily create a local account instead, one that keeps your data stored only on your PC and doesn't sync settings or files to the cloud.
How to set up Windows 11 with a local account
Step 1: Boot from your Windows 11 installation media (USB or DVD) and follow the usual setup prompts — language, keyboard, and region.
Step 2: When you reach the "Let’s connect you to a network" screen, you can connect to Wi-Fi or Ethernet. For Pro editions, this step won't force you to sign in online.
Step 3: Select this option when prompted about who will use the device, then click Next.
Step 4: On the "Sign in with Microsoft" page, look for the small text link "Sign-in options" under the email field.
Step 5: Choose Offline account to continue without using a Microsoft login.
Step 6: Microsoft will try to persuade you to sign in — just click “Limited experience” at the bottom.
Step 7: Type a username and (optionally) a password, plus security questions if asked. Click Next after each step.
Step 8: Follow the remaining setup screens to install Windows 11 with local account. Once complete, Windows 11 will start with your local account as the main user.
