I have to mindlessly unplug them and plug them back in until it works.
A while ago I got this 3.5mm extension cable so I could use the rear jacks, cause the top one was utterly worn down, and it just refuses to work properly.
I know the green jack is for your headphones, but on my realtek audio console, it's "front speaker out", so when I plugged it into the blue one, which WAS headphones, it was super quiet, while the green one just didn't have any audio at all. I tried switching the green one to headphones via the software, which I think worked somehow? Even though it still said front speaker out, and I had to use Speakers(Realtek(R)Audio)
That only worked once though, now neither of them work after I had to do a windows update. I have a prebuilt computer that runs windows 11, and realtek was installed by the manufacturer, so maybe it's an outdated version? I can't find anything about my specific problem online, or rather, I have no clue what to search for it. Please help !!!
