Community ManagerThe Microsoft Tech Community is not strictly a support community, what your describing could be caused by many things but my best guess would be the e-cig is overvaulting the port and the computer is shutting down to protect itself.
If you believe you maybe have a fault then you should contact HP Support or a local repair shop.
I will move your post to the windows community, incase anyone else can help you though.
