Why can I only use this feature with a Microsoft account?
I just spent the last two weeks removing any and all connection to my Microsoft account...
The reason being "undesired changes" let us call them that were implemented on my personal files and local account without my consent.
I only learned about this recently when i noticed my account did not have the same admin privileges it had when it was a local account...
I looked deeper and apparently When you LOG IN A MICROSOFT ACCOUNT! Your local account is changed and YOUR PERSONAL FILES ARE MOVED TO ONE DRIVE AS A DEFAULT FEATURE!
Which get automatically quantum linked in the cloud... Introducing a plethora of replication bugs AND MORE IMPORTANTLY potentially uploading PRIVATE PICTURES AND DOCUMENTS ON STORAGE THAT IS NOT ON MY MACHINE!So i ask again... Why in the name of Bill Gates (praise be upon him, our holy tech emperor) can I only use this feature with an online Microsoft account?
Programmatically speaking, it would be a simpler implementation with the local account...
Why does this need to be an online feature at all?
I have no rational explination to this other than locking the user into sharing their data to get the full features...
I know i am writing in a somewhat joking tone in some parts but this issue i am mentioning here...
The feeling most users are getting is that something sinister is going on...
I will find another way to use my phone camera...
If more of these online/cloud default features are introduces...
I might have to stop using windows altogether...
