How to transfer photos from ipad to pc on Windows 11 with usb

Hi everyone, I have a lot of photos and videos on my iPad and need to move them to my Windows 11 PC. I tried plugging the iPad in with a USB cable, but the device sometimes doesn't show up correctly...

It is often described as a universal "AirDrop" that works across all platforms, including iPad and Windows. LocalSend transfers your photos in their original, uncompressed quality, unlike many messaging apps that degrade image resolution. A highly praised feature of LocalSend is the ability to copy text on your iPad and paste it directly on your PC, and vice versa.

Here is the simple process of how to transfer Photos from iPad to PC. The application's interface is very straightforward and is divided into two main modes: Send and Receive.

Step 1: Install LocalSend on Both Devices

  • On your iPad, download the free LocalSend app from the App Store.
  • On your PC, download the Windows version from the official LocalSend website.

Step 2: Connect Both Devices to the Same Network

  • Ensure your iPad and PC are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. This is the only requirement for LocalSend to work.
  • Note for PC users: Your PC can be connected via Wi-Fi or even a wired Ethernet cable to the same router, and it will still work.

Step 3: Launch and Grant Permissions

  • Open LocalSend on both your iPad and PC.
  • The first time you use it on your iPad, the app will ask for permission to find and connect to devices on your local network. You must tap "Allow" or "OK".

Step 4: Send Your Photos

  • On your iPad, tap the "Send" tab at the top of the screen.
  • Tap the "File" or "Media" button to browse and select the photos you want to transfer . You can select multiple photos at once.
  • After selecting your photos, your PC's name will appear under "Nearby Devices". Tap on your PC's name.
  • Your PC will instantly receive a notification to accept the file transfer.

Step 5: Receive and Save on PC

  • On your PC, a dialog box will pop up showing the incoming file from your iPad. Click "Accept" .
  • The transfer will begin and usually completes in seconds for a batch of photos .
  • By default, the received photos are saved to your PC's Downloads folder. You can change this save location in LocalSend's settings on your PC.
