Step 2: Connect Both Devices to the Same Network
- Ensure your iPad and PC are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. This is the only requirement for LocalSend to work.
- Note for PC users: Your PC can be connected via Wi-Fi or even a wired Ethernet cable to the same router, and it will still work.
Step 3: Launch and Grant Permissions
- Open LocalSend on both your iPad and PC.
- The first time you use it on your iPad, the app will ask for permission to find and connect to devices on your local network. You must tap "Allow" or "OK".
Step 4: Send Your Photos
- On your iPad, tap the "Send" tab at the top of the screen.
- Tap the "File" or "Media" button to browse and select the photos you want to transfer . You can select multiple photos at once.
- After selecting your photos, your PC's name will appear under "Nearby Devices". Tap on your PC's name.
- Your PC will instantly receive a notification to accept the file transfer.
Step 5: Receive and Save on PC
- On your PC, a dialog box will pop up showing the incoming file from your iPad. Click "Accept" .
- The transfer will begin and usually completes in seconds for a batch of photos .
- By default, the received photos are saved to your PC's Downloads folder. You can change this save location in LocalSend's settings on your PC.
