How to take screenshot while in gaming on my windows 11 pc
For users who want to take screenshots while gaming on their computers, Flameshot is a screenshot tool that offers region selection, annotation, and saving features. You can download the Windows installer from the official website or the GitHub release page. The tool works well with games in windowed and borderless windowed modes, but games in exclusive full-screen mode may not always respond correctly to third-party screenshot shortcuts.
How to Take Screenshots While Playing Games on a PC
Step 1: Open the official download page and select the Windows version. Download the installer, run it, and complete the installation.

Step 2: Launch the application before starting your game. It normally remains available from the Windows system tray, allowing you to start a capture without keeping its main window open.
Step 3: Open Configuration from the tray icon and review the available settings. Choose the save directory and other capture preferences you want to use before starting the game.
Step 4: Set up a convenient keyboard shortcut for the Launch Flameshot action in Windows. A dedicated shortcut is useful because the Print Screen key may already be assigned to another Windows screenshot feature or to the game itself.
Step 5: Start your game. When you reach the scene you want to capture, press the configured shortcut. The capture interface should appear over the screen.
Step 6: Drag the selection box around the part of the game you want to capture. You can use the toolbar to add arrows, rectangles, text, or other annotations when needed.
Step 7: Click the Save button or use Ctrl + S to save the screenshot. Select a destination folder and filename if prompted, then return to the game.
Step 8: For users who prefer a command, the graphical capture interface can also be started from Command Prompt with:
flameshot gui
A full-screen image can be saved directly to a specified file with:
flameshot full -p "C:\Users\Public\Pictures\game-screenshot.png"
The command-line method is useful for scripted captures, but a keyboard shortcut is usually much more practical during gameplay. For exclusive fullscreen games that block or minimize when another capture interface appears, switching the game to borderless-windowed mode can provide more reliable results.
