How to take a scrolling screenshot on Windows 11 (full screen)?
Hi! I ran into exactly the same problem, so I ended up building a tool for it myself.
Quick note first: if you only need web pages, Microsoft Edge can already do this. Press Ctrl+Shift+S and choose "Capture full page".
If you need more than that (chats, documents, apps, not just browsers), I built HymmScroll, a scrolling screenshot tool for Windows. You select the area, it scrolls and stitches everything into one long image, and you can annotate it right away. It works fully offline, nothing leaves your computer.
It's available on the Microsoft Store: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9n6580jqmpw8
Full disclosure: I'm the developer. Happy to hear any feedback if you try it!

Your app saved the day! Conventional Chrome extension capture solutions weren't working but yours worked so easily! I love that once you define the capture area you let go of the mouse button and just scroll! Kudos on the design...will be making regular use of it.

Thank you so much! Your tool works perfectly and is exactly what I was looking for. I was even able to install it from the Microsoft Store without special dispensation from my IT department!
