How to recover deleted files that are not in the Recycle Bin?

Recently my wife accidentally deleted some important Word documents from my laptop. At first, I wasn’t too worried because I thought I could simply restore them from the Recycle Bin.

But when I opened the Recycle Bin, the files weren’t there. I’m sure I’ve checked the Recycle Bin several times very carefully, but the files are just not there. Why would deleted files not show up in the Recycle Bin?

Is it possible to recover deleted files that are not in the Recycle Bin? These documents are really important to me.

Scanning the original storage location is followed by checking the file history/backup.

Files might not appear in the Recycle Bin if they were too large, deleted from an external drive, or permanently deleted using Shift + Delete. If you have File History or another backup enabled, restore the files from there.
