How to recover an unsaved Word document on Windows 11 PC?

😓I feel so stupid right now… I was working late last night on an important essay for school in Microsoft Word on my Windows 11 laptop. I’d been typing for almost two hours, and then I accidentally closed Word without saving.

Is there any way to recover an unsaved Word document? I really don’t want to rewrite everything from scratch. I also noticed a lot of Google search results claiming they can help recover unsaved Word documents. Do those methods actually work?

Any advice or steps I should try would be greatly appreciated.
