How to prevent my laptop from (re)starting after shutting down?
Windows 11 and especially Lenovo laptops are designed for fast startup. Just make sure you shut the lid of your laptop immediately after shutting down. Yoga Slim models are designed to start up fast as soon as the lid is opened. To remain secure, make sure your PIN and Windows Hello facial recognition are both up to date. If you're not going to use your laptop for a while, simply pop it on charge for 20 minutes when you get back to it.
There may be extra "change what happens when the lid is closed" settings in the old control panel, but it's not recommended to change this.
Thanks! Closing the lid fast is something I tried indeed. But even then it happens.
Indeed I can work around it by making sure that I charge it when needed. Still, it really feels like a bug and I'd like some user options on how sensitive it is.
