How to manually install Windows 11 Pro from USB stick?
If you want to avoid third-party bloat (like Rufus) and keep the native UEFI/GPT structure clean, the main headache with a manual Windows 11 Pro install is the FAT32 4 GB file size limit vs the oversized modern install.wim (>4 GB), plus making sure it defaults to the Pro index without driver issues.
Instead of manually splitting the image into .swm files or messing around with custom diskpart scripts, check out Lab_Win11:

It is an open-source PowerShell suite that automates the whole thing cleanly:
- Formats the stick with a native dual-partition GPT setup (FAT32 for UEFI boot + exFAT/NTFS for the full >4 GB install.wim).
- Automatically detects the Windows 11 Pro index and can inject entire INF driver folders (network/storage) into both boot.wim and install.wim before writing to the drive.
- Fully menu-driven with native multi-language support (EN, ES, FR, RO, DE).
Just run the launcher, pick your ISO and USB, and it builds a 100% compliant installer ready to go.
