How to manually install Windows 11 Pro from USB stick?
Installing Windows 11 Pro via PXE boot is an advanced method that allows you to deploy Windows 11 Pro without using a physical USB drive.
This method is suitable for users who need to efficiently install Windows 11 Pro on multiple computers via a network connection.
Although this method completely eliminates the need for a USB drive, it also serves as a viable alternative when you need to download Windows ISO with uup dump but prefer a centralized, scalable solution in an enterprise or lab environment.
How to Download the Windows ISO with a UUPS dump
- Set up a PXE server on another computer using a different tool.
- Configure the Windows 11 Pro installation files and network boot settings on the PXE server.
- Connect the target computer to the same network via Ethernet.
- Access the BIOS/UEFI settings on the new computer and enable PXE boot.
- Save the settings and restart the computer; it will boot from the network server.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to install Windows 11 Pro over the network.
Using open-source tools for PXE booting is an ideal solution for IT administrators who need to deploy Windows on a large number of machines without having to configure USB drives individually for each installation.
