How to install Windows 11 on a Windows 10 computer without losing data?
I'm currently running Windows 10 on my computer and I'm interested in upgrading to Windows 11. I've heard a lot of great things about the new features and improvements, and I believe it could be a valuable upgrade for my system. However, I'm not entirely sure where to start with the installation process. Could someone please guide me through the steps to successfully install Windows 11 on a Windows 10 computer without losing data?
Specifically, I would like to know what prerequisites I need to check before initiating the upgrade. Are there any specific hardware or software requirements I need to be aware of? Additionally, what steps should I follow to ensure that my data and applications are safely transferred during the upgrade process?
Upgrading to Windows 11 is actually very simple. First, check whether your computer meets the hardware requirements, especially TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot. If it does not meet the requirements, don't worry, using Win.BootMate to create a boot disk can bypass these restrictions.
I followed this tutorial and it worked:

- harshitayadavCopper ContributorTo upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 without losing data, first, the first thing you should do is back up your data. After that as LindaHamilton said check your PC's compatibility using the PC Health Check app. Ensure your system qualifies minimum requirement to upgrade to Windows 11 as explained by Chikstew . Update Windows 10 via Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. Download the Installation Assistant from the Windows 11 download page and then follow the instructions. After installation, verify your files and applications are intact and update any necessary drivers.

Pachole The Windows 11 Installation Assistant is a tool provided by Microsoft to help users upgrade their existing Windows 10 operating system to Windows 11. It simplifies the upgrade process by automating many of the steps required to perform the installation.
Before starting, ensure your PC meets the minimum system requirements for Windows 11. Microsoft provides a PC Health Check tool to verify compatibility.
First, download Windows 11 Installation Assistant from Windows 11 product page. Locate the downloaded file (usually named Windows11InstallationAssistant.exe) and double-click it to run the program.
The Installation Assistant will check your PC for compatibility. If your PC is compatible, you will see an option to upgrade to Windows 11. Click "Accept and Install" to start the installation process.
The Installation Assistant will download the necessary files for the upgrade and finally install Windows 11 on your Windows 10 computer. This process may take some time depending on your internet connection speed. Once the download is complete, the tool will begin the installation process. Your PC may restart several times during this process. Follow any additional on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
