How to find out what's taking up space on a C drive in windows 11?
My Windows 11 laptop is showing that the C drive is almost full, but I have no idea what is actually taking up all the space. I don’t store many large files like videos or games, so I’m confused abou...
Junk files and app caches. These two occupies most of the free space on the c drive. You can run a quick scan and free up tons of free space by following this trick:
Settings > System > Storage
Wait for it to scan, then click categories like Apps, Temporary files, Documents, Pictures, or Other to see what is taking up space.
Settings > System > Storage > Cleanup recommendations
Windows will suggest files you can safely remove, such as temporary files, Recycle Bin items, large unused files, and unused apps.
