How to find out what's taking up space on a C drive in windows 11?

Sorting by size in Explorer helps, but it still hides the real structure of the drive. A disk visualizer is better when you want to see the whole picture first, spot the biggest space hogs, and then decide what is safe to remove. I’d especially look at videos, archives, installers, VMs and duplicate folders before touching system files. I’m building a tool in this area, so happy to share what workflow has been safest for me.
