If you are going to export WhatsApp chat on PC Windows 11. Chatfossil is a Firefox-only browser extension that runs on WhatsApp Web and keeps a local copy of your messages in your browser's storage . You install it, open WhatsApp Web, and it starts archiving messages as they appear.

It archives what's loaded in WhatsApp Web and lets you export as JSON — but only messages you've scrolled through after installing it.

The Steps:

1. Install Chatfossil as a Firefox extension on your Windows 11 PC.

2. Open WhatsApp Web (web.whatsapp.com) and scan the QR code.

3. Let it sync — the extension starts keeping a local copy of messages as they appear.

4. Browse your chats normally; the more you scroll, the more gets archived.

5. Search and filter by date, sender, or chat, then hit Export as JSON when ready.
