How to enhance or improve the quality of recorded audio?
You will get the biggest improvement before the recording reaches post-production. Put the USB mic closer to your mouth or guitar, lower the input gain so peaks do not clip, and record a 10-second room-noise sample before each take. In Windows Sound settings, confirm the correct input device, set a sensible input level, and turn off any enhancement that makes the signal pump or distort. For voiceovers, record in a quieter part of the room with soft materials nearby and keep the mic position consistent. After recording, use light cleanup rather than heavy noise removal: reduce low-end rumble, lower harsh hiss gently, and normalize only after clipping is under control. If a take is clipped badly, re-recording is usually faster than trying to make it sound natural afterward.
