How to delete duplicate photos from iCloud
Lately, I noticed that my iCloud storage was almost full, and I kept getting those annoying pop-ups asking me to upgrade my storage plan. I decided to take a look at what was taking up so much space—and to my surprise, it was mostly my photos. I've had iCloud Photos turned on for a few years now, and over time, I've clicked tons of pictures—especially during family vacations, festivals, and random everyday moments.
As I was scrolling through my photo library, I realized I had so many duplicates—photos taken back-to-back, burst shots, edited versions of the same picture, or the same image saved from WhatsApp and again from my camera roll. It was just cluttered. I wanted to clean it up and get rid of the duplicates to free up space, but I was really confused about where to start.
I didn't want to delete something important by mistake, and I wasn't even sure if deleting from iCloud would remove the photo from my iPhone too.

When you delete a photo from your iPhone with iCloud Photos enabled, it gets deleted from all devices connected to that iCloud account. To keep original photos safe before cleaning, back up your photos externally first.
