How to delete all partitions in windows 11?
GParted Live is likely your best option if you are going to delete partitions on Windows 11. GParted is a powerful, open-source partition editor that runs entirely outside of Windows.
Why it fits your request:
✅ Best: Most Windows users have never heard of it
✅ Completely free: Open-source, no paywalls, no ads
✅ Bypasses Windows completely: Boots from a USB drive, so it can delete any and all partitions (including the ones Windows protects)
✅ Thorough: Can delete EVERY partition on your SSD, leaving it completely raw/unallocated
What you'll need: An 8GB+ USB flash drive and another computer to create the bootable drive.
Step-by-step to delete partitions on Windows 11:
1. Download GParted Live. The file is about 400-500MB.
2. Create a bootable USB:
- Select the downloaded GParted ISO file
- Write it to your USB drive
3. Boot your ProBook 650 G5 from the USB:
- Insert the USB drive
- Restart and press F9 repeatedly (HP's boot menu key)
- Select the USB drive from the list
4. Use GParted to delete ALL partitions:
- GParted will start in live mode (no installation needed)
- You'll see a graphical interface showing your 512GB SSD with all 5 partitions
- For each partition: Right-click and select "Delete"
- After marking all for deletion, click the green checkmark ("Apply All Operations")
- Confirm when prompted
5. Result: Your SSD will now show as one large block of "unallocated" space—completely clean.
