How to Convert Text to Speech on Phones?
There are free dedicated readers, but the best choice depends on whether you need Android, iPhone, offline playback, or article importing. On Android, T2S: Text to Voice and @Voice Aloud Reader are practical choices for pasted text and shared web pages. They can use the phone’s installed speech voices, let you control the speed, and are generally usable without starting a paid trial.
For iPhone or for reading web pages on either platform, Microsoft Edge Read aloud is a good official option. It is not a text-to-speech subscription service, and it works well when the source is an online article rather than a large collection of personal documents.
Speechify, NaturalReader, and ElevenReader may have useful free tiers, but their restrictions can apply to voice quality, listening hours, imported files, or offline access. The safest rule is to check the app’s current store description and confirm that it can read your own sample text for a complete session before relying on it for study material.
