How much time it takes to install Windows 11?
Waited for one hour and the installation is still in progress.
- GiovanninimCopper ContributorThis is the typical case. It could be longer if Internet download speed is slow!
- XavieryCopper ContributorThis is normal. The installation wizard will download updates and drivers from remote server. That's why it is so slow. You can only wait before it is finished.
- Nobel_BaynesIron ContributorIt took me one hour and 20 minutes to fully complete the Windows 11 installation, including system update and Microsoft account settings.
- JulioilCopper ContributorIt should be completed around one hour. It could be much slower if the download speed is low!
- This depends upon various factors such as:
-Your system specs
-Your internet speed
-Load on update server
Either of these can make it to wait for more time. You can only wait at this stage. - WaylonopCopper ContributorAround 60 minutes. It takes much time for downloading system files from Microsoft server.
- SincererCopper ContributorIt took me 50 minutes or so to fully get into the Windows 11 desktop.
- VJosenphCopper ContributorEnsure you have the latest Windows 11 ISO from the Microsoft website. This reduces the need for post-installation updates.
- HouellebecqCopper ContributorIf you're upgrading from Windows 10, the installation may take around 30 minutes to a few hours, depending on your system and the size of your data. By the way, a clean installation (installing Windows 11 on a fresh drive) can typically take 20 to 50 minutes, assuming everything is compatible and no issues arise.
- CalumpotCopper ContributorFor a fast internet connection, it should be done within 40 minutes. The time are used for downloading system updates and drivers.
